  • Rahul has a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Electronics Engineering from Mumbai University, India’s premier university in education. He was certified PMI-PMP Project Manager in 2008. The project comprises of three different sectors as Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and Taxes. This includes a 24x6 production support, enhancement requests and new development projects.   • As a Project Manager at Motorola-Patni Offshore Development Centre (Motorola – USA/ Germany): Rahul was handling various business critical projects for Motorola in Integrated Supply Chain (iSC) sector (earlier Mobile Devices sector). He began work on Manufacturing Execution System related software project for Motorola, Germany. Working on this project he was responsible for overall project management, client interaction, status reporting, team building, cost, billing and process compliance. The project required Rahul to use his project management skills to manage project team and client, to address various concerns raised by client and working out the action plan to the satisfaction of client and senior management. With high quality deliverables on time he won the confidence of client in leading the offshore team. In addition to this project responsibility, Rahul also lead additional projects simultaneously to meet the dynamic business requirements related to MES for Motorola in a capacity of Project Manger. He has delivered these projects successfully on time to the satisfaction of client. Interacted and established peer level relationship with different Motorola project managers from US, Germany and China.
  • As SQA-TL at GE Global Development Centre (GE-GDC): Rahul has also performed role as SQA-TL (Software Quality Assurance – Team Lead) for GE GDC at Patni. In this role he managed team of 80-90 SQAs (part time). Rahul was responsible for the SQA activities and overall quality of the development centre managing 100-120 projects simultaneously. His responsibilities included monitoring and reporting of SQA metrics and escalation of issues to senior management on need basis. Also his responsibility includes interaction with Project Managers and Business Delivery Owners, participation in status reporting meetings; SQA training and mentoring of new team members. Rahul has also worked as lead for the External Quality Cell (EQC) for CIS, a major account in GE GDC having strength of appox. 250 team members. In this role he was extracting daily timesheet data of the team members, consolidating, and analyzing them. Rahul used to present the analysis to senior managers with charts and graphs with findings and suggesting the solutions to problem areas identified. This initiative was highly appreciated by the senior management.
  • As a Motorola PMO coordinator (Motorola – USA): Rahul handled a role of Motorola PMO coordinator. This was a critical role and Rahul acted as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all the related issues. Interacted and participated in regular status meetings with Motorola-PMO members. Rahul studied the requirements from Motorola PMO members and devised and implemented the required processes in development center. Involved in preparation and updates of Work Order Log, SLA reports, Ops. Review presentations and Relationship Dashboard for Motorola every month. Maintained the directory location for Patni on Motorola Compass site. Monitored and managed the SLA performance and reporting for the entire Motorola ODC. This was a critical role in the Motorola ODC of 200 resources to keep corporate office of Motorola at USA updated with the metric and performance parameters.

  • Worked closely with Rockwell business for IFS and SAP interface projects handling multiple projects in on-site offshore model managing global team. Offshore teams operated from multiple locations in India supporting client base in North America, EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions.
  • Worked as Rockwell Project Manager on critical IFS 7.5 ERP implementation and integration with SAP. This $10 million project, very closely monitored by Rockwell top management through regular operating committee and steering committee meetings.

  • As a Project Manager responsible for managing a team of 50+ resources in on-site offshore model for very critical project, to support accounts payable system of GE Inc. Any downtime can result in financial losses for not making payments to vendors on time. Average transaction was millions of dollars per day.
  • Successfully managed the project to run within Service Level Agreements (SLA) to avoid financial obligations and earned rewards. Consistently excelled in metrics of First Time Right (FTR) and On Time Delivery (OTD) demanded by customer. Actively participated and performed key role in contract renewal with client.
